Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters, stated that adversaries are operating under “delusional and baseless assumptions” in believing they could gain control over the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
He said that “incorrect assessments” by the President of the United States and leaders of the “criminal Zionist regime” have led them to evaluate Iran’s resilient population and its powerful armed forces through purely material and worldly criteria.
Zolfaghari added that such miscalculations have made it impossible for adversaries to anticipate the “unprecedented presence” of aware and revolutionary citizens in public spaces, alongside the “miraculous strength and steadfastness” of Iran’s armed forces on the battlefield.
He further emphasized that these strategic errors by American and Israeli adversaries have placed them “on a path toward humiliation and destruction.”
“They believe, in vain, that they can compel a strong and proud Iran—one that has never bowed to its enemies throughout history—to surrender, or that they can dominate the Strait of Hormuz,” he said. “This is an illusion they will carry to the grave.”
Zolfaghari concluded by stating that adversaries “must understand” that Iran’s aware and resilient nation, together with its armed forces, have demonstrated their readiness to confront any aggression and respond decisively to threats against the country.
