The UN nuclear watchdog has said that he had very important talk with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.
Grossi noted that he has spoken with Putin on Iran’s nuclear program, pointing to the key and important role of the Russian Federation as one of the members of Iran’s nuclear deal, known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
“I also held talk with Putin on the situation of Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP),” he said, adding that Russia's cooperation with the IAEA is established in almost all areas, including nuclear safety.
The meeting and discussion with the CEO of Rosatom, aimed at exchanging views on the issues related to nuclear safety at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, was timely, the IAEA chief noted.
