The United Nations Security Council held a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the Iranian missile attack on the Israeli regime for its crimes in Lebanon and Syria and the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
At the meeting, the Secretary General of the United Nations António Guterres condemned the missile attack launched by the Islamic Republic on 'Israel'.
Meanwhile, the US Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield claimed that the Islamic Republic failed in the missile attack on 'Israel'.
The United Kingdom Ambassador Barbara Woodward, for her part, condemned the Iranian act of self-defense, vowing her country's full support for 'Israel'.
Nicolas de Rivière, the Ambassador for France to the UN also condemned Iran's attack.
China's envoy to the UN Fu Cong, started his speech by supporting the UN Secretary General and opposing "Israel's baseless accusations against him".
He said that China is worried about the escalation of tensions and called on all sides to respect each other's territorial integrity and refrain from attacking civilians.
He criticized the entry of the Israeli army into Lebanese territory, calling it against the Security Council resolutions.
Russian UN envoy Vasily Alekseyevich Nebenzya, for his part, hailed Iran for exercising exceptional restraint vis-a-vis Israeli aggression.
The Russian envoy said that his country strongly condemns Israeli aggression against Lebanon, calling for immediate halt to Israeli atrocities.
According to the Russian diplomat, Israel has deliberately escalated the conflict with the assassination of Lebanese Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrullah, and Israel bears all the responsibility for the escalation.
Alekseyevich Nebenzya slammed Israeli disregard for international law under US unwavering support.
The Russian UN envoy denounced the US for giving lethal weapons to the Israeli regime to murder civilians in Gaza.
The Iranian UN envoy Saeed Iravani, took turn to slam the US, and the UK for giving carte blanche to the terrorist regime of Israel at UN.
Iravani described the retaliatory operation against the Zionist regime as a necessary action.
"Terrorist Israeli regime used US-supplied bunker-buster bombs to assassinate Hezbollah chief," he continued.
