USS Georgia enters Persian Gulf: US Navy

TEHRAN, Dec. 21 (MNA) – US navy announced on Monday that Submarine USS Georgia has entered the Persian Gulf.

A fleet of US Navy ships, including the Ohio-class submarine USS Georgia has entered the Persian Gulf, Sputnik News reported.

The United States as usual says that the move aims at ensuring maritime security of the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf, the report added.

The US has adopted similar measures in the past which eventually proved to be ineffective.
