Five Iranians among top 10 WKF rankings

TEHRAN, Dec. 02 (MNA) – Sajad Ganjzadeh clinched the number one ranking in the latest World Karate Federation while four other Iranian Karatekas broke into the top ten.

At the conclusion of the last round of the Karate 1-premier league, the World Karate Federation announced the latest rankings. Sajad Ganjzadeh (+84 kg) continues leading the world ranking with 3970 points and four other Iranian Karatekas have ranked among the top ten contenders of their divisions.

The other four Iranian karatakas who ranked among the top ten in the Kumite section are Fateme Chalaki (-55 kg) who held the 9th rank, Amir Mehdizadeh (– 60 kg) who rose to the 2nd rank, Bahman Asgari (-75 kg) who broke into the 9th rank and Zabihollah Poorshab (-84 kg) who held the 6th rank.

In the Kata section, Negin Bagheri ranked 30 in female section while Abolfazl Shahrjerdi ranked 52nd in the male section.
