The Iranian karate federation, in collaboration with the overseas council of the ministry of sport, will hold the 13th Iran Zamin Karate Cup tournament, which is a major international karate competition, on December 21-22 in Tehran.
So for, the participation of karate practitioners from South Korea, Iraq, Georgia, Vietnam, Japan, Armenia, Canada, Pakistan and Afghanistan has been confirmed with the likelihood of some teams to attend the event from, Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Competitions in the women’s and junior section will be held on December 21, and competitions of the men’s section will be launched on December 22.
On the sidelines of Iran Zamin Cup, a technical seminar will be held by Japanese Hitoshi Kasuya Sensei, the founder of the World Shotokan Katate-Do Fedetaion, on kata and kumite events for senior couches of foreign teams.
Iranian karate practitioners made a clean sweep at the previous edition of Iran Zamin Cup Karate tournament and stood on top of the podium.
Iran won the title in the Men’s section followed by Azerbaijan as runner-up as well as Iraq and Hong Kong in third and fourth places, respectively.
