In a statement on Monday, the IRGC said that Martyr Admiral Alireza Tangsiri inflicted heavy losses on the enemy through commanding Iranian navy’s operations strikes which led to the destruction of important enemy facilities and infrastructure and the downing of an American fighter jet.
The statement also said the former IRGC Navy’s brave commander also created and strengthened the defensive shield of the islands and coastal areas.
The guards also offered condolences on his martyrdom to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the noble Iranian nation, declaring that “we will not rest until the enemy is completely destroyed and the honorable Quds is liberated.”

TEHRAN, Mar. 30 (MNA) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) announced on Monday the martyrdom of Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, the commander of the IRGC Navy saying he succumbed to his serious wounds after the enemy’s airstrike.
