Stopping genocide in Gaza human imperative: Bagheri Kani

TEHRAN, Mar. 09 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani says that stopping the Israeli genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip is a human imperative.

Bagheri Kani made the remarks in a post on X social media, formerly known as Twitter, after a meeting with Qatari Assistant Foreign Minister for Regional Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the ongoing Israeli regime's war against the defenseless Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The women and children of Gaza who are slaughtered by Zionists and American weapons, in which court have they been sentenced to such a punishment?, Bagheri Kani wrote.

Gaza has turned into a place where innocent and helpless human beings are being slaughtered, he added.

Israel waged its brutal war on besieged Gaza on October 7 after Hamas carried out an unprecedented operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

So far, the Tel Aviv regime has killed over 30,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured at least 68,883 others.

Israel has imposed a complete siege on the densely populated territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
