Shooting injures up to 8 people in Italy

Police are reacting to a shooting in central Trieste, which occurred on the morning of Sept. 4.

The incident occurred on the corner of Via Carducci and Via San Francisco at about 08:00 and was reportedly the result of a dispute between two groups of foreign workers.

Up to eight people have been reported injured and two people arrested.

Disruptions are likely in the vicinity of the incident in the coming hours as police investigate.

Disruptive police operations are possible at short notice as authorities seek to apprehend the perpetrators.
