Iran says Netanyahu's allegations aim to influence Trump

TEHRAN, May 01 (MNA) – Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said, “Netanyahu’s childish and ridiculous presentation was planned in the run up to Trump’s announcement about the nuclear deal.”

"What we saw from Benjamin Netanyahu was nothing but a childish and ridiculous show," Araghchi noted.

Araghchi said that the allegations are the repetitions of Netanyahu's speeches in the past, he said, adding that such allegations against Tehran have already been proven wrong by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

"Netanyahu is trying to affect Trump's upcoming decision about the Iranian 2015 international nuclear deal, or JCPOA, but, Tehran is prepared for any scenario by Trump," he said.

Iran does not care about Netanyahu's allegations, Araghchi stressed.

In a televised presentation on Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a speech on Iran’s nuclear program at the defense ministry in Tel Aviv on April 30, 2018, where he claimed he had proof of a secret Iranian nuclear weapons program, adding the files prove "Iran has secretly worked on nuclear weapons."
