“Palestine is the symbol of resistance against aggressors, and this issue matters a lot to Iranians and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran so Iranians will stand by Palestinians and their resistance,” said President Hassan Rouhani of Iran to Ramadan Abdullah Mohammad Shalah, the Secretary General of Islamic Jihad Movement of Palestine, on Thursday in Tehran.
The Iranian president hailed the resistance and perseverance of the Palestinians against the usurpers of their country and underlined that while the superpowers of the world imagined the end of Palestine, the oppressed people of Palestine proved them wrong and gained victory out of their willful resistance.
“The resistance of the Palestinians against Zionist conquerors sent a message to the whole world that no conqueror would benefit forever,” asserted the Iranian president.
Rouhani stated that one of the motives of those who develop terrorism in the region and fund terrorists, is to marginalize the issue of Palestine or impinge on Palestinians. He called for internal unity among Palestinians to foil these kinds of plots against Palestine.
Ramadan Abdullah, in this meeting, for his part, voiced gratitude upon all the supports provided by the people and the government of Iran for Palestinians.
The Secretary General of Islamic Jihad Movement of Palestine also briefed President Rouhani on the latest developments in Palestine and Gaza strip.
Ramadan hailed the Islamic Republic of Iran for being still committed to the causes of the Islamic Revolution of 1979, and described this commitment as a sign of power of Iran.
