Following the visits of delegations from Brazil, Ecuador and Venezuela to Iran in a bid to expand bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues, this time, Vice President of Uruguay Raúl Fernando Sendic heading an economic and trade delegation will arrive in Iran on a four-day visit from 24-27 April.
Sendic's visit comes at the invitation of Iranian First VP Es'hagh Jahangiri, with an aim to expand economic cooperation.
Sendic is scheduled to hold talks with Jahangiri, President Rouhani, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, as well as ministers of Agriculture, Industry, Trade and Mines, and Energy.
During the visit, the two sides will discuss a wide range of trade and economic relations in the form of oil exports, refinery construction, joint investment, activation of joint bank accounts, customs cooperation, maritime transport and shipping, livestock health, as well as scientific and technological cooperation.
