Iran, Belarus universities of medical sciences sign MoU

TEHRAN, Feb. 16 (MNA) – A scientific MoU was signed on Tue. between Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) and Belarusian State Medical University(BSMU).

The memorandum was signed by Dr. Javad Haji Miresmaeil, rector of Iran University of Medical Science, and Dr. Anatol Sikorski, the rector of the Minsk region of the Belarusian State Medical University (BSMU), in line with expanding international cooperation in scientific and academic fields.

This memorandum identifies a collaboration between the IUMS and the BSMU in coordinating scientific programs, exchanging and training scientists and researchers, sharing information and technology and holding meeting and workshops and conferences for five years. The term will be extended, subsequently.  

Over 5,000 students are currently studying medical sciences at 6 faculties of the BSMU in various fields of general medicine, dentistry, pediatrics, public health, military medicine and other medical specialties. 200 Iranian students are currently studying there and so far, 400 of them have graduated from the BSMU.
