Iranian Actress Minassian Dies At 61

TEHRAN June 14 (MNA) -- The renowned Iranian Christian actress Lorik Minassian has died at the age of 61.

Born in Tabriz, she began her career with the Arman theatrical group led by Shahin Serkissian and Arpi Avanesyan. Then Minassian focused on children’s genre dramas.

 

She appeared in movies with Varuj Karim-Massih’s “The Last Stage,” “The Prisoner 77,” Kianush Ayyari’s “To Be or Not to Be,” and Bahman Famanara’s “Smell of Camphor, Fragrance of Jasmine.”

 

Minassian also scored a spectacular success in the TV series “Detective Shamsi and Her Assistant Madam”. Her meaty role in the series is unforgettable.

 

Iranian citizens and fans alongside her family will pay homage to Minassian at Saint Mary Church in Tehran today.
