Iran’s Gas Imports From Turkmenistan Soar 16 Percent

TEHRAN, July 10 (Mehr News Agency) – Iran’s gas imports from Turkmenistan have increased 16 percent in the first half of 2003 as compared to the figure for the same period in the preceding year, reaching 3.1 billion cubic meters.

In its website, the daily Turkmenistan Ro Wednesday wrote Iran plans to import some 6.5 billion cubic meters of gas from Turkmenistan in the current year.
