Some media outlets have recently reported that Iran had cancelled its plan to dispatch an aid ship to Gaza due to Israeli threats to attack the ship.
“The plan to dispatch a ship in behalf of non-governmental organizations… in the Islamic Republic of Iran, is still on the agenda,” Sheibani told reporters.
The time of the dispatch will be synchronized with other ships sent from other parts of the world, he noted.
Iran’s humanitarian aid will be airlifted to Egypt and then to the Gaza Strip, he said.
Tehran has informed Cairo of the plan and it still awaits a response from Egypt, Iran’s former ambassador to Beirut stated.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Sheibani said unfortunately the international community has not been able to resolve the Gaza crisis due to the United States’ il-considered support for the Zionist regime and because of the fact that international organizations have not taken any serious measures in response to the crimes committed by Israelis.
The Zionist regime is seeking to change this humanitarian issue into a political-security issue, he opined.
