Iran’s Mazandaran exports over 17k tons of kiwi in 8 months

TEHRAN, Dec. 15 (MNA) – The head of Agricultural Jihad Organization of Mazandaran province says 17,584 tons of fresh kiwi fruits were exported from the province overseas in the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (Mar. 21, 2025).

Over 1,900 shipments of citrus fruits including kiwi fruits and tangerine have been exported from this province overseas between March 21 and November 22, 2025, Asadolleh Teymouri Yansari stated.

Of total 1,900 shipments, 341 and 493 of which have been exported to India and other countries, respectively, he noted.

Yansari went on to say that 8,480 tons of tangerine and 14,839 tons of orange have been exported to foreign target markets from March 21 to November 22, 2025.

He placed special emphasis on the key role of exports of agricultural products in materialization of the resistance economy, stressing hat promotion of export of non-oil commodities in the agricultural sector will considerably help generate sustainable employment in the rural areas and reduced migration of villagers.

Taking advantage of modern technologies, promoting quality of agricultural products, improving packaging and standardization of products and development of agricultural products can stabilize and promote the status of provincial horticultural products at the international markets, he added.
