The Global Sumud Flotilla announced that two of its vessels are currently 366 nautical miles from Gaza and are expected to arrive within the next three to four days.
The fleet, which now comprises 44 ships, is set to enter a highly dangerous zone within the next two days. The Sumud Flotilla’s leadership reiterated its firm resolve to reach Gaza and called on people worldwide to remain vigilant and express solidarity with the convoy.
The Sumud Global Flotilla, consisting of more than 50 ships, set sail from Barcelona, Spain, in early September with the mission of providing aid to the people of Gaza and breaking the blockade. Additional vessels gradually joined the convoy from various regions around the world.
Despite threats from the Israeli regime and efforts by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s regime to prevent the fleet from reaching Gaza, all Sumud vessels are proceeding simultaneously toward their final destination.
Joining the Global Sumud Flotilla, an Iranian convoy has also set sail from Iran's Bandar Abbas to participate in breaking Gaza’s Siege and delivering crucial humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza.
