Iranian snooker player crowned at 2024 Asian C’ships

TEHRAN, Feb. 24 (MNA) – Iranian snooker player Ali Gharagozlou won the gold medal at the 2024 Asian Men's Snooker Championship held in Doha, Qatar.

In the final round of the sporting event, Gharagozlou defeated his rival from Pakistan, Awais Munir, 5-2 to secure the top spot.

Previously in the tournament, Gharagozlou defeated his opponents from Pakistan (4-3), Saudi Arabia (4-0), Jordan (4-0), and Palestine (4-1) in group G to secure its place in the knockout stage.

Pakistani snooker player Awais Munir has successfully advanced to the finals of the Asian Snooker Championship by defeating other Iranian snooker players Amir Sarkhosh and Milad Kashani.

The 2024 Asian Men's Snooker Championship was organized by the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation (QBSF) and was held in Doha, Qatar from February 17-23.
