Omidvar Brothers Museum to Open in Tehran

TEHRAN Sept. 26 (Mehr News Agency) -- Omidvar Brothers Museum is going to be inaugurated in Tehran's Sa'dabad Museum Complex on the International Tourism Day today.

Issa and Abdullah Omidvar were the Iranian tourists who traveled by motorcycle around the world in ten years (1954-1964). Their journey from North Pole to Antarctica took three years.

The museum will put on display ancient warfare articles, musical instruments, photos and other cultural items the two brothers collected on their journey.

Their observations have been published repeatedly in the form of films, CDs, photos, travelogues and books in some countries.

Abdullah Omidvar lives in Santiago, Chile and works as an editor-in-chief for a tourist magazine. He is also founder of one of the greatest cinematic centers in Latin America. A museum is also established by him in Santiago.
