Senior Iranian cleric ‘Ayatollah Mesbah-Yazdi’ passes away

TEHRAN, Jan. 01 (MNA) – Senior Iranian cleric ‘Ayatollah Mohammad-Taghi Mesbah-Yazdi’, Head of Imam Khomeini (RA) Educational and Research Institute and Member of Assembly of Experts passed away at the age of 86 on Friday evening.

Ayatollah Mesbah-Yazdi was also former chairman of Supreme Council of Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly and one of the lecturers of Qom Seminary.

Ayatollah Mesbah-Yazdi, who had been hospitalized in one of Tehran’s hospitals a few days ago due to the exacerbation of disease, passed away on Friday evening.
