TEHRAN, Mar. 11 (MNA) – According to the statement made by the policymaking committee of holding Friday Prayers in Iran, prayers ceremonies in provincial capitals will be canceled for the third week since the outbreak of coronavirus in the country.
The decision has been made, as the two previous weeks, due to the requests made by the Iranian ministry of health and National Headquarters for Fighting Coronavirus.
The prayers have been canceled in 23 Iranian capital cities of all provinces including Tehran, Qom, Mashhad, Tabriz, Hamedan, Isfahan, Shiraz, Ahvaz, Sari and etc.
As of Wednesday, the novel coronavirus, officially known as COVID-19, has infected 119,245 people in 119 countries, claiming 4,300 lives.
