The seminar will be held in conjunction with the 24th International Electronic, Computer and E-Commerce Exhibition (ELECOMP 2018) with the main purpose of promoting and exchanging international experiences in this domain.
Iranian ICT Minister Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, Iranian Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Masumeh Ebtekar, Indonesia's Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Minister Yohana Susana Yembise, Azeri Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade and South African Minister of Communicatios Nomvula Mokonyane will take part in the event.
As announced by the seminar’s official website, the event aims to enhance women’s participation and gender equality through communication and information technology (ICT) and foster joint international cooperation in the field of women’s empowerment within the framework of the overall national policies and regulations of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Other key topics of the seminar include the role of ICT in the development of women’s skills, as well as preparation of the necessary grounds for boosting international cooperation and promotion of women’s employment and entrepreneurship.
