Parl. reviews latest situation of oil ministry, sanctions

TEHRAN, Jul. 23 (MNA) – Spokesman for the Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Ali Najafi Khoshroudi announced the latest situation of the activity of the Oil Ministry in sanctions period in the presence of Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh.

In this expert-level session, the latest situation of activities of the Oil Ministry [including issue of oil export and oil diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran due to the US sanctions on Iran] was exchanged in the Parliament.

He, who is the representative of people of Babol in Iranian Parliament, said, “since reducing Iran’s oil export and creating disorder in Iranian oil industry are the most important objectives of the sanctions, the necessity of using all capacities and currency tactics in dealing with such unpleasant situation were emphasized.”

He pointed to the severe and difficult situation facing ahead and said, “necessity of maintaining Iran’s quota in oil sales market, completion of construction operation of semi-finished projects in South Pars Gas Field and the necessity of presenting practical strategies in Europe’s proposed package to Iran were of the other topics discussed in this session.”

Furthermore, members of Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission unanimously condemned the recent terrorist act in Marivan, Kurdistan province, which led to the martyrdom of a number of border and security officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he highlighted.
