IRGC disbands terrorist team near Iraq border

TEHRAN, Jul. 15 (MNA) – Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces have announced dismantling a terrorist team in the western province of Kermanshah, near Iraq border.

According to the official website of the IRGC forces Sepahnews, a terrorist team which sought to enter the country from Nodsheh region in the north of the Kermanshah Province with the aim of conducting acts of sabotage and terror were dismantled by the IRGC Ground Forces Najaf base yesterday afternoon.  

The IRGC statement said that in the clashes with the team, three terrorists were killed and another terrorist was severely injured, while a local Basij was also martyred.

The statement added that a large amount of weapons, ammunition and other equipment were confiscated from the terrorists.

It also noted the the IRGC Ground Forces along with other Iranian forces are ready to defend the country's security and confront any anti-Revolution groups.
