In his message, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani congratulated President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the people of the European country as they celebrate the anniversary of their National Day on October 3.
Rouhani also expressed hope that, in view of age-old friendly ties between Tehran and Berlin, the two sides further bolster all-inclusive relations in all sectors.
The official later voiced optimism that consultation will increase among high-ranking officials of the two countries in line with promotion of mutual understanding and advancement of affairs.
“Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany to resolve regional crises through political and peaceful means and to seriously confront terrorism and extremism,” Rouhani’s message reads.
He also prayed for the German president’s continued health and success, as well as the nation’s felicity and prosperity.
The Day of German Unity is the national day of Germany, celebrated on 3 October as a public holiday. It commemorates the anniversary of German reunification in 1990, when the goal of a united Germany that originated in the middle of the 19th century, was fulfilled again.
