Navy’s 47th fleet to depart for Indian Ocean

TEHRAN, May 27 (MNA) – Deputy navy commander Rear Admiral Peyman Jafari Tehrani said the 46th flotilla of Iran Navy will depart for the Indian Ocean early June.

The official said deployment of Navy fleet aims at providing security for shipping lines.

 On missions of Navy’s 46th and 47th flotillas, Lieutenant Navy Commander for Coordination Rear Admiral Peyman Jafari stated that the fleets are in charge of establishing security in Gulf of Aden, Bab el-Mandeb and the Indian Ocean.

“The 46th flotilla, which was deployed to uncharted waters some time ago, is now halfway through its mission and will return hope in the days to come,” he continued.

He underlined that, according to schedules, the 47th Navy flotilla will leave for international waters on June 05.
