Navy’s 47th fleet to depart for uncharted waters

TEHRAN, Jun. 11 (MNA) – The 46th flotilla of Iran Navy will be dispatched to international waters on Sunday evening to conduct assigned missions.

Today on June 11, the Iran Navy’s 47th flotilla is scheduled to leave Bandar Abbas for northern parts of the Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Aden at presence of Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari.

The 47th operational intelligence flotilla of Iranian Navy comprises Alborz missile-launching destroyer and Bushehr logistic vessel.

The 46th flotilla, which was deployed to uncharted waters some time ago, is now halfway done with its mission and will return hope on Sunday afternoon.

Deployment of Navy fleet aims at providing security for shipping lines and 52 flotillas have been dispatched to high seas since 2009.
