US seat in Astana talks destructive: Amir-Abdollahian

TEHRAN, Jan. 19 (MNA) – The Iranian Parliament's General Director for International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian affirmed that Iran disagrees with US attending at Astana talks.

“The Astana talks is a blissful event in the history of Syrian crisis,” said the Iranian Parliament's General Director for International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Thursady. “But if the US does not change its unconstructive approach toward the Syrian crisis, its presence at the talks is destructive.”

The former deputy foreign minister speculated that the US would have landslide changes in its treatment of regional and Syrian crises if Trumps claims be near to real.

Former Iranian diplomat asserted that the manipulation of terrorism card by cross-regional actors is still the main obstacle barring peace and political resolution from the Middle East. “Even more important than openingtalks in Kazakhstan is the continuation of them till reaching the desired result.”
