Iran's 1st VP officially welcomes Syrian PM

TEHRAN, Jan. 17 (MNA) – Iranian First VP officially welcomed Syrian Prime Minister Khamis in Sadabad Palace on Tuesday.

The official welcoming ceremony took place in Sadabad Palace of Tehran at the presence of the Iranian First Vice-President Es’hagh Jahangiri and Syrian Prime Minister Emad Khamis while it was followed by playing the national anthems of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Syria.

Khamis will kick off on Tuesday private talks with Jahangiri on important regional and international developments and other issues of mutual interest.

Khamis will also hold talks with Leader’s envoy to SNSC Ali Shamkhani Tuesday on expansion of bilateral ties and the recent developments in Syria after Aleppo's liberation.

Khamis arrived in Tehran on Monday night and was welcomed by Iranian Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Masoud Soltanifar at Mehrabad Airport.
