“Ground is ready to further develop Tehran-Ankara ties in all fields,” said President Rouhani in a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Congratulating Eid al-Fitr to President Erdoğan, President Rouhani said “Iran and Turkey should join hands in resolving regional issues, especially in fight against terrorism, regarding ample commonalities”.
He also stressed the need to accelerate implementing agreements as an important step in developing ties between the two countries.
Expressing condolence over the latest terrorist attack in Istanbul airport, President Rouhani highlighted that the two countries needed closer cooperation in fighting terrorism and “I have no doubt that if the two countries act more seriously against this evil phenomenon, we will be able to root out terrorism in the region”.
Mr. Rouhani said that terrorism is an issue and threat to all countries throughout the world and added that “fighting against this global phenomenon requires collective resolve by all countries”.
In this telephone conversation, Erdoğan also congratulated Eid al-Fitr to President Rouhani and said Turkey welcomes developing and deepening joint cooperation between Tehran and Ankara. “We can eradicate terrorism with each other’s help,” continued Turkish President.
In another similar event, Hassan Rouhani talked over the phone with Iraqi PM Haider al-Ebadi felicitating him and Iraqi nation and government on the holy Eid and asserted that the latest victories of the Iraqi nation and government over terrorists is significant to the Islamic Republic of Iran and Tehran will always stand by the Iraqi nation and government.
“Tehran welcomes developing ties with Iraq in all fields and cementing these ties are beneficial to the two nations and the region,” he told Iraqi PM.
He also stressed that terrorism is a global threat; “without a doubt, the Iraqi nation and government will be victorious through resistance against terrorism and ethnical and religious conspiracies of some powers”.
During the telephone conversation, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi congratulated Eid Al-Fitr to Dr Rouhani and the Iranian nation and government and emphasized on expansion of ties with Tehran in all fields stressing that “outlook of ties with Tehran is very bright and promising.”
Yet in another story, President talked with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani where he said “countries of the sensitive Persian Gulf region should act with wisdom and foresight.”
Stressing the need for strengthening the bases of cooperation and joint effort for mutual interests, Dr Rouhani added: “Countries of the sensitive Persian Gulf region should act with wisdom and foresight”
“Our view of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Qatar is special and independent and I hope the two friend countries’ relations develop in all fields more than before,” added Rouhani on Tuesday, congratulating Eid al-Fitr to the Qatari Emir and nation.
“We hope that brotherly relations among Islamic countries can help us to replace non-political ways with political solutions and Tehran is willing to have good and brotherly relations with all Muslim countries,” continued Dr Rouhani.
Stressing moderation and rationality in relations among countries in the region and the world, he also said: “We believe that partnership should gradually replace competition in the region and the world; constant consultation among countries and mutual meetings can pave the way in doing so”.
Congratulating Eid Al-Fitr to Dr Rouhani and the Iranian government and nation, the Emir of Qatar said: “Strengthening cooperation between Iran and Qatar and the countries of the Persian Gulf region is to the benefit of the two Iranian and Qatari nations and strengthens the bases of peace and friendship in the region”.
“Prospects of development of cooperation between Tehran and Doha in all political, economic and cultural fields is very bright and promising,” continued the Emir of Qatar.
