At a meeting held in Lebanon, Iran’s Hossein Jaberi Ansari and Gebran Bassil also exchanged views on venues for expansion and reinvigoration of bilateral relations between Tehran and Beirut.
Jaberi Ansari, who arrived in Beirut on Monday morning, also met with Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam discussing regional and international issues.
The visit marks Jaberi Ansari’s first presence in Lebanon as Iran's deputy foreign minister.
He is also scheduled to meet with the Lebanon's Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri during his visit to the Mediterranean country.
