Vancouver to screen Iranian ‘Crazy Rook’

TEHRAN, Oct. 27 (MNA) – Iranian film Crazy Rook by Abolhassan Davoudi, will go on screen in Vancouver, Canada.

Vancouver’s Centennial Theatre will screen an Iranian film for the first time. It will be screened by Arya Persys Company which previously displayed Azita Mogouee’s Tragedy in the city as well.

Pezhman Hadavi, the company’s CEO who is currently in Canada, believes that besides screening the films, another part should be considered for the audience to chat with directors and actors through Skype. By screening the films in main halls, non-Iranians will also get attracted to Iran’s cinema.”

With 11 nominations, The Crazy Rook won awards for best director - Davoudi, best film for producer Bita Mansuri, best sound mixing for Bahman Ardalan, best visual effects for Vahid Ghotbizadeh, and best film by viewers.
