In its second match of the second round of Asian Volleyball Club Championships in China, Paykan of Tehran won Pavlodar in four sets, with the first set lost to the Kazakh club. Paykan won in three consecutive sets 25-15, 25-20, and 25-11 to manage its fourth win in the tournament.
For Paykan Amir Hosseini, Reza Qara, Pouria Fayyazi, Hamzeh Zarrini, Saeid Mostafavand, Mostafa Sharifat, and Ali Hossein (as libero) played.
Paykan faced tough teams in the second round including South Korean Arms, Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar, and BAIC Motor of China, to which Paykan lost in the second round to Chinese club in 3 straight sets 22-25, 26-28, and 23-25.
Paykan had defeated, in qualifiers, Kuwait’s Al-Qadesiyeh, South Korean Arms, and Philippines representative. On Tuesday, all teams will have an off day, only to play on Wednesday in four matches to determine the four final teams of the tournament.
