TEHRAN, Aug. 5 (MNA) – Tickets for Kamkars’ forthcoming performances in Tehran will go on sale tomorrow.


Tickets are available via Iran’s Music House internet site at www.iranhmusic.com or at www.qoqnoos.ir. They can also be purchased from the Beethoven Music Center and several other centers and music schools in Tehran.


The Iranian traditional music group Kamkars will be performing concerts from 23 until 26 August at The National Great Hall.




Persian Music Evenings to be performed at Vahdat Hall


TEHRAN (MNA) -- The Iranian ashiks, Ashik Asgar and Ashik Hossein Eskandari will be performing east Azerbaijani folk music at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall on August 7 in one of a series of Persian Music Evenings.


An ashik is a mystic troubadour or traveling bard, found in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Iran who sings and plays the saz, a form of lute.


Music from the Khorasan region of Iran will be performed on August 5 and there will be a performance by artists from Golestan province on August 4.
