Gaza death toll reaches 70,942 since Oct. 07

TEHRAN, Dec. 23 (MNA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health says that Israeli forces have killed 70,942 Palestinian people in the enclave since the outbreak of war between Israel and Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, on October 07, 2023.

Five people have been martyred and three others have been injured in ongoing consequences of the Israeli regime's aggression on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, the ministry noted.

Since the ceasefire was implemented on October 11, 2025, the total number of martyrs has reached 406 and the number of injured Palestinians has reached 1,118.

During this period, the bodies of 653 martyrs have been recovered from the rubble, the report added.

The ministry put the number of Palestinians killed in Zionist regime's attack against Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, at 70,942.

In addition, 171,195 Palestinian people have been injured in Israeli aggression on the enclave since October 07, 2023.
