A large-scale fire broke out early Thursday at the Javad al-Aemmeh dock in Bustano village, Parsian County, located in Hormozgan Province, southern Iran. The blaze engulfed ten commercial vessels, prompting a major emergency response.
Mehrdad Hasan-Zadeh, Director-General of Crisis Management in Hormozgan, confirmed the incident, stating that the fire began at around 9:00 a.m. local time.
In response, firefighting and emergency teams were dispatched from neighboring provinces including Fars and Bushehr. Firetrucks from Lamerd and Asaluyeh, firefighting boats from Bushehr and Shahid Rajaee Port, and rescue teams from Bastak, Bandar Lengeh, and local Parsian forces were mobilized to contain the flames.
All logistical capacities of the province have been mobilized to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading, he said.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, and further investigation is underway.
