Iran’s archer Hemmati bags silver at 2024 Paralympics

TEHRAN, Sep. 02 (MNA) – Fatemeh Hemmati of Iran claimed a silver medal in the Women's Individual Compound Open of the 2024 Paralympic Games on Saturday.

She lost to Turkey’s Öznur Cüre Girdi 144-141 in the final, Tehran Times reported.

Hemmati had defeated China’s Yueshan Lin, Julie Rigault Chupin of France and Briton Paterson Pine on her way to the final.

Iran has sent 65 athletes in 10 sports to the Games.
