Iran’s foreign minister in Ankara to discuss Palestine

TEHRAN, Nov. 01 (MNA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrived in the Turkish capital of Ankara early on Wednesday for talks with the neighboring country’s senior officials.

The top Iranian diplomat is scheduled to meet with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the daylong trip.

He has traveled to Turkey after a trip to Doha where he and top Qatari officials, including the Arab country’s Emir, and exchanged views on efforts needed for an immediate stop to the Gaza war.

In Turkey, the Iranian top diplomat will continue his diplomatic efforts to help find a solution to the crisis in Palestine.

The Israeli regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip that started after a surprise operation by the Hamas Resistance movement on October 7 have so far left thousand of Palestinians killed and injured.

UN officials have appealed to the Security Council for a ceasefire, as the head of UNICEF warns that more than 420 children are being killed or injured in Gaza every day.
