This is the second meeting between Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Ismail Haniyeh in Doha in the last two weeks.
The two have also held a telephone conversation over the past week after the Zionist regime waged a war on the Gaza Strip after Hamas Oct. 7 attack known as Al-Aqsa Storm operation.
In the meeting, the Iranian top diplomat said that the United States is part of the war in Gaza, adding that the US is in no position to ask others for restraint.
He expressed confidence in the Palestinian definite victory. "There is no doubt that the Palestinian nation and Resistance is the definitive winner of the battle. The Zionist regime has collapsed, and the definitive result of this battle will be nothing but the decisive victory of the Palestinian nation and Resistance."
He said that the supportive votes of the countries of the world for Palestine in the recent session of the United Nations General Assembly, as well as the unprecedented anti-Israel demonstrations and gatherings of nations in various countries of the region, Europe and America, show the apex of global resentment towards the Zionist regime and its supporters.
Amir-Abdollahian further informed Mr. Haniyeh and the political officials of the Hamas movement about the diplomatic efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the regional and international levels and the United Nations as well as some initiatives at the level of Islamic countries in support of Palestine with the aim of ending the war crimes of the regime Zionism and breaking the inhuman blockade against Gaza.
In this meeting, Mr. Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political office of Hamas movement, for his part, explained the latest developments in Gaza, especially the unprecedented crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the citizens of Gaza, and said that Al-Aqsa Storm operation proved the honor and greatness of Palestine and the Islamic Ummah.
Haniyeh added that "we follow the valuable efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran personally at the regional and international level and the United Nations to support the Palestinian nation, and we express our heartfelt gratitude to the Palestinian people for these efforts."
The head of the political bureau of Hamas added that the Palestinian resistance is at the apex of its power and authority, therefore the occupying regime, instead of engaging with the Resistance forces, continues to attack Palestinian citizens in its plan, and so far the amount of explosives used in Gaza against citizens and residential areas Gaza has used it, it is bigger than the size of the US atomic bomb in Hiroshima and these attacks are being carried out with the full support of the US and some European countries.
Haniyeh said that the action of the United States in sending its ships and troops to the region and warning others is aimed at giving the green light to the Zionists to continue their barbaric crimes against Gaza.
Reciting some verses of the Holy Qur'an, Haniyeh expressed confidence that in the most severe and difficult situations and conditions, God will send His patience, peace and victory to the believers, and "this good news is the reason for our definite victory in the current battle."
