"The roof of the turbine room [of Thermal Power Plant 9] has caught fire. The area of the fire has yet to be assessed," the official said.
According to the regional Health Ministry, two people were injured in the fire, TASS reported.
The local Emergencies Ministry department confirmed the information about the fire, adding that 79 ministry personnel and 23 equipment units were working at the scene.
