Iran participated with 11 weightlifters in two categories, juniors and youth, and in the end, it was able to win 5 golds, 7 silvers, and 2 bronzes to become Asia vice-champion in the youth category.
However junior Iranian team finished in seventh place after winning 4 golds, 3 silvers, and 5 bronzes.
