OIC Top Importer of Iranian Goods in 2002

TEHRAN, Sept. 15 (Mehr News Agency)– The Customs Office in a report on Monday said member states of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) had imported as much as 2.464 billion dollars worth of goods from Iran in 2002, stressing that this had been the highest amount of imports from the Islamic Republic over the year.

The office added that the European Union (EU) had imported some 701 million dollars worth of goods from the Islamic Republic in 2002, ranking the second top importer of Iranian goods after the OIC.

 

It also added that member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the Commonwealth of Independent States followed the OIC and EU in terms of highest volume of imports each respectively with 937 million dollars and 678 million dollars worth of imported goods in 2002.
