Khorasan Razavi issues 41 mine licenses at 444m tons deposit

TEHRAN, Jan. 15 (MNA) -– Over the last nine months, 41 certificates have been issued for exploration on 41 mines in Khorasan Razavi Province, the head of Mineral Explorations Office at the province’s Mines and Industries Organization, Mostafa Gharabi, said on Sunday.

Decorative stones, potassic and sodic feldspar, gypsum, manganese, pozzolan, marble, bentonite, dolomite, garnet, calcite and ironstone as well as some others are discovered in the cities of Mashhad, Neyshabur, Gonabad, Kashmar, Fariman, Ferdus, Sabzevar, Chenaran, Torbat-e Jaam, Torbat-e Heydarieh, Taibad, etc.     

 

The total deposits are estimated at 444 million tons with exploration cost of 8.8 billion rials. Within the said period, 148 exploration licenses, 96 for decorative and 52 for first and second grade stones, have also been issued, he said in conclusion.
