TEHRAN, Nov. 19 (MNA) – Special Assistant to Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari has discussed Yemen's issue in a meeting with Rashid Khalikov, Assistant Secretary-General, United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

The meeting, which took place in Tehran on Sunday afternoon, focused on the catastrophic humanitarian situation in war-torn Yemen.

The two officials discussed Iran-United Nations cooperation on humanitarian issues, in particular with regard to assisting countries in crisis in the West Asian region, as well as the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Yemen and the forthcoming international summit on humanitarian aid to the war-stricken country.

The meeting took place few days after it was reported that the Saudi-led coalition had ordered a halt in its aggression against Yemeni forces in the main port city of Hudaida under international pressures.
