Iran gives citizenship to children with foreign fathers, Iranian mothers

In a Sunday cabinet meeting chaired by President Hassan Rouhani, it was approved that children who are born of foreign fathers and Iranian mothers will be given Iranian citizenship.

Accordingly, these children can themselves apply for citizenship at the age of 18, and before that, the application should be submitted by the mother.
