Iranian girls rout India at Asian volleyball C'ships

TEHRAN, Jun. 14 (MNA) – Iran’s girl volleyball players gained a 3-0 victory against India to advance to semi-final of the 19th Asian Women’s U19 Volleyball Championships held in Bac Ninh, Vietnam.

Iran won the match in three straight sets (25-17, 25-19, 25-12).

Iranian girls will challenge Japan in their next match on Saturday.

At the tournament, Iran had won matches against Hong Kong and Macau while suffering a narrow loss to Australia.

The Asian Women's U19 Volleyball Championship is an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the under 19 women's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC). The current champion is China, which won its twelfth title at the 2016 tournament hosted by Thailand.
