ISIL dismantled with help of Iran’s military advisers

TEHRAN, Dec. 11 (MNA) – IRGC top commander says that the terrorist group ISIL was dismantled with the help of Iranian military advisers, hoping for dismantling remaining terrorist groups.

Deputy IRGC Ground Force Commander for Coordination, Brigadier General Ali Akbar Pourjamshidian, stated that through the efforts of all resistance fighters, including Hezbollah, Syrian Army, Iraqi Army and Popular Mobilization Forces, the victory over terrorist ISIL was achieved.

“Through sacrifices made by the Fatemiyun and Zaynabiyoun divisions, ISIL was defeated,” Pourjamshidian noted.

Referring to the role of the IRGC in defeating ISIL terrorists, the IRGC top commander said that legendary commander Major General Ghasem Soleimani led the victory over ISIL.

“ISIL in Syria was overthrown with the help of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s military advice, and we hope that the remaining Takfiri terrorists in Syria will disappear soon,” Pourghshidian concluded.
