"The diligent men and women of our country won glory for us by claiming the third place among 40 countries at the 2017 World Archery Para Championships and made all Iranians feel proud and honored," Bahram Ghasemi said in his message forwarded on Tuesday.
Iranian archers claimed two gold, two silver and one bronze medals at the 2017 World Archery Para Championships in Beijing which landed them in the third place after China and Russia. Iranian two-time Paralympic Champion Zahra Nemati earned a gold medal in women's individual recurve open, while the other gold was grabbed by Iran’s compound women open team.
The 2017 World Archery Para Championships ran 12-17 September in Beijing, China.
