Navy to unveil new equipment: Iranian commander

TEHRAN, Sep. 29 (MNA) – Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari says Iranian maritime forces will unveil new combat equipment before the end of current Iranian year on March 20, 2018.

“The most significant achievement of Iran’s Navy has been the establishment of security in different seas, and fortunately Iran has provided good security in this regard,” said Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, the Iranian Navy Commander, on Thursday in Iranian city of Zanjan. He made the remarks while addressing mourners attending the ceremonies of Muharram.

“In terms of equipment, today we have achieved self-sufficiency and need nobody’s help, and we will unveil some new products by the end of this year [of Iranian calendar],” reiterated the senior commander, referring to high level of readiness and capability among Iranian armed forces.

“Assuredly we will develop our out-of-region missions because we hold that the presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran on high seas of the world is one of the missions of Iranian naval forces which should be fully well observed,” asserted the commander.
